Faber was a Force-imbued planet located in the Sednain Rift in the Faberian sector in Unknown Regions. It was the home planet of the Faberians and possibly midi-chlorian life forms. Faber was a dense forested world. Faber is the sister planet of Saber and Taber.

Geographic Features[]

Faberian tree House

A tree village on Faber

Faber's terrain was largely covered by massive, tightly-knit pine and redwood forests.  Faber also contained secluded lakes and mountain ranges. Faber’s low axial tilt and regular orbit of its gas giant primary helped ensure a comfortable climate. Faber was temperate and mild, with polar caps regulating the sea levels. Flora life included cambylictus trees and other large plants. The Faberian Royal City is the largest and only city on Faber and is the home of the Royal Family.

The Faberian Royal Palace is built in a large cluster of large redwood trees as is the rest of the city. The Palace, like the rest of the buildings, is completely made out of wood. The largest structure in the city, it was the home of the Royal Family and their servants. The Palace was a multi-story structure, styled with domed roof. Guard towers surrounded the facility, and security patrols kept watch outside. The Palace had a balcony overlooking the lake that was behind the Palace. The retreat's front was outfitted with a veranda. Leading to the Palace was a long and wide bridge, large enough to accommodate large vehicles.

The Palace's interior was decorated luxuriously. The walls were made of redwood wood, while the floors of its many hallways were covered with thick, silver-lined black carpeting. Computer terminals were scattered throughout the Palace. The Empress Regnant's inner sanctum was accessible by stairs, the entrance to which was guarded constantly by the Empress Regnant’s Royal Guards. The antechamber to her room was festooned with black-and-silver banners and lit with cylindrical silver lamps suspended from the ceiling. Within, the Empress Regnant held audience from her dais.

The throne was made out beautifully carved wood with black cushions on the arm, back and seat. It has a white fur blanket draped across the right arm of the throne.

Faberians lived high among the trees of the forest moon, in villages built between the closely spaced trees. The basic design of a tree village had a "Central Village" of thatched-roof huts on the primary limbs. These huts were high enough above the ground to be out of reach from predators. Suspended bridges connected the gaps between trees, adjoining distant huts. Knotted rope ladders allowed access up or down.

In most tree cities, the largest huts were built directly on the trunk of the tree. These central buildings belonged to the Cloaked One, the only deity that the Faberians believe in. They used the largest open areas for village gatherings, meetings, council fires, and storytelling ceremonies. Family groups kept their own dwellings in clusters on the outlying trees. Separate huts were also built for unmarried females, elders, and visitors. A sealed building was also created higher than the rest of the tree city and was used as the communities' food storage.

Besides the Faberians, Faber was home to various species of animals and creatures. Usually, the deeper into the forest one went, the more dangerous the animals became.

History[]

Early history[]

Faber was found by a group Force-sensitive women that left the Jedi Order so that they can start their own government, the Prophets was created around this time, and as the Faberians were getting into power they were always being invaded but had managed to warded off their would be invaders until the Great Sith War.

First Great Sith War

The Jedi and Sith brought the war to Faber and nearly wiped the Faberians into extinction. After the Great Sith War, Faber was badly damaged and had gone into a deep trance to heal its wound, though the Faberians were not affected by this but they too were trying to heal the injuries that they had received as well. Faber became a Matriarchy Hereditary government after the daughter of the Emperor killed her father and crowned herself Empress Regnant.

Mandalorian Wars[]

Faber was invaded by Mandalorian Empire and was almost driven to its knees and using guerrilla tactics, the Faberians were able to drive the Mandalorian Empire from their sector.

Second Great Galactic War[]

During this time, Faber was in a civil war, the Faberians were divided by those loyal to the current Empress Regnant and those loyal to the future Empress Regnant. Faber was also fighting against the Sith Empire to prevent them from invading them during their time of weakness.

Cold War (Post-Great Galactic War)[]

Light battles between the Sith Empire and the Faberian Empire were happening during the Cold War as the Sith Empire tried to make Faber submit to Sith rule which was led by Marrika’s daughter and the new Empress Regnant Natasi Nerys after her mother was killed by Imperial agents.

New Sith Wars[]

Faber was dragged into the New Sith Wars when a Sith fleet lead by Lord Kaan appeared outside their system and tried to invade Faber but was driven back by the Faberian guerrilla army.

Clone Wars[]

Faber was brought into the Clone Wars after the failed kidnapping of the Empress Regnant's two sons, Jaster and Sharad Hett. Though Faber didn't join either side, it remained neutral and fought against Separatist using weapons that they had bought from other planets.

Declaration of a New Order[]

Faber sort of withdraw from the rest of the galaxy with a declaration of war when Emperor Palpatine had the Faberian Empress Regnant T'lana assassinated and put an outsider on the throne of Faber, the Faberians retaliated by sending the heart of the false ruler back to Emperor Palpatine. Unbeknownst to Emperor Palpatine, the new heir to the throne was born on Mandalore and was being raised there instead. Also the rest of the Faberian Royal Family was hunted down and killed in order to draw out the Handmaidens that protect the new Empress Regnant.

Galactic Civil War[]

Faber, despite the death of the Empress Regnant, is still neutral during this point. The Faberians were hostile towards the Galactic Empire because of the assassination of their beloved Empress Regnant but had sent a message to Emperor Palpatine that Faber has a new Empress Regnant.

The New Republic[]

Faber is not a part of the Republic or what is left of the Empire, Faber is still a neutral planet as it always had been and is not interested in forming any allegiance to any planet.

Galactic Alliance[]

Faber is still not a part of the Galactic Alliance and the Empress Regnant was more active with her duties on Faber.

The Yuuzhan Vong War[]

Faber was brought into the Yuuzhan Vong war because of the force-sensitive natives that lived on it.

Empress Regnant Kestra Hett gave birth to her daughter, Etain Skirata.

The Swarm War[]

Faber was brought into the Swarm war because the Faberians feared that Faber was going to be invaded once again so in order to make sure that it didn't happen again they joined this war.

The Second Galactic Civil War[]

Faber was brought into the Second Galactic civil war because of the close ties that the Empress Regnant has with the Skywalkers and Solos.

Sith-Imperial War[]

Faber at this time was dealing with its own problems; pirates were trying to invade Faber. And The New Sith Empire had ordered an genocide against the Faberians, ordering that they were all to be killed.

Inhabitants[]

The main and only inhabitants of Faber were the Faberians, a culturally distinct branch of humans that all had impressive force abilities. Faberian females were often used as slaves or dancers because of their beauty. They were tall and slender, and possessed exceptional flexibility. All were Force-sensitive, and they were regarded as having a natural shrewdness about them. They upheld a code of honor and a respect for the martial arts.

Fauna and Flora[]

Faber is home to a number of force-sensitive fauna and flora; the animals that call Faber home are all force-sensitive and thus capable of being domesticated by the native Faberians.

Jha'Rur

Jha’Rurs are a large horse-like creatures native to Faber, Jha’Rurs were Force-sensitive and thus capable of being domesticated by the native Faberians.

Jha’Rurs’ are horse in appearance with the long narrow muzzle and pointed ears, and there are other features that make them different from other horse like creatures. Jha'Rurs have two horns that point back towards their bodies on their heads that is in-between their ears and two small horns on their muzzle that is behind each other (much like a rhino). Jha'Rurs grows much larger than normal horses though not by very much, they are muscular and slender. Their chest is deep and its waist is narrow. They have strong necks for carrying heavy objects. They have semi-narrow and strong hooves for climbing and they have strong front legs for climbing as well. And they have a long whiplike tails for balance and maneuvering. All members of the Jha’Rurs had orange eyes with vertical pupils that were quite disconcerting to other races.

A Jha'dur or Faberian Hound

Jha'dur

The Jha’dur is a Force-sensitive pack animal; their packs can consist of ten to twelve. Hermaphroditic mammals, Jha’durs were equally capable of both siring and bearing offspring with a second Jha’dur; young Jha’durs was referred to as pups. While some Jha’durs have made it off Faber, it is better if the owner is a very strong Force-sensitive because anyone weaker than they are will be viewed as prey and attacked, and non-Force-sensitives general have a hard time training these creatures since they cannot form a bond with the Jha’dur.  Jha’durs will eat anything from rotten meat to berries, this works well for them when winter comes and food is scarce. Jha’durs are immune to almost everything, so  if the animal eats anything poisonous or that would infect humans or aliens with any virus, the owner doesn’t have to worry about them getting infected when the animal licks their owners or when the Jha’dur accidentally or intentionally bites people. In other words, Jha’durs had very clean mouths, their salvia affecting as a natural disinfect so Faberians tend to use Jha’dur salvia to put over their wounds. The salvia of Jha’durs also acts as a natural blood-clot, preventing the Jha’dur to bleed a lot or leave a trail of blood when the animal tries to hide.

Jha'durs’ are canine in appearance with the long narrow muzzle and large erected ears but there are some features that make them different than other canine like creatures. All members of the Jha'durs had orange eyes with vertical pupils that were quite disconcerting to other races. They had extremely sharp teeth that ran along the length of their snout, with four fangs protruding over their lower lip, each ending in a double point. Slightly elastic jaw muscle and cheek increase bite force like a rubber-band snapping back and also allows for a large bite range-like a snake. They extremely long green tongue, which they use to smell their prey when their nose to busy smelling something else. They have strong neck and jaws for carrying heavy objects. Their chest is deep and its waist is narrow. The Jha’durs’ paws have semi-retractable claws for extra grip in its high-speed pursuits. They have hand-like paws for climbing and they have strong front legs for climbing as well. And they have a long whiplike tails for balance and maneuvering, their tails can also be used as a weapon and has been known to break bones and cause internal bleeding.

Jha'durs was strongly telepathic to their Faberian partners though they sent images to their partners' mind instead of actual words. This ability was a natural manifestation of the Force among their kind. Jha'durs could also 'hide' themselves from the Force, though they could also make themselves detectable in the Force at will if they chose to, just like Faberians. As a whole the species were long lived; the average lifespan for a Jha'dur was 700 years.

Jha'durs was highly intelligent creatures, capable of understanding verbal commands and intuiting the feelings of those Sentients around it.

They were territorial creatures, marking the area they claimed as their own by rubbing their bodies around the perimeter. Domesticated Jha'durs would not often leave their owners, but occasionally did roam within the boundaries of their territory independently. Despite their predatory ferocity, Jha'durs was extremely protective of their young and the offspring of those within its social sphere. Human infants needed not to fear a nearby Jha'dur and, in fact, Jha'durs was known to construct nests for human children much as they would for their own pups. Jha'durs was skilled trackers and fierce hunters, capable of taking down large prey such as Grazers and carrying the carcass back to their abode. Their sharp claws allowed the Jha'dur to climb the sides of buildings and trees, where they would wait to ambush a prospective target. Once the prey was in range, the Jha'dur leaped from their high perch and pouncing in their prey.

When domesticated, Jha'durs was extremely loyal and protective of their masters and their surrounding families.

Jha'durs are always seen in the company of a Faberian and cannot be owned by any non-force-sensitives though they have been seen working alongside non-force-sensitives when their partners are not with them. Jha'durs was extremely loyal and protective of their masters and their surrounding families. Jha'durs are always seen in the company of a Faberian and cannot be owned by any non-force-sensitives though they have been seen working alongside non-force-sensitives when their partners are not with them.

Jha’durs are very vocal creatures and can make a lot of noises that range from squeaks to whistles.

Jha'jur

The Jha’jur is a small non-sentient beaked bird native to the planet Faber and like all animals that called the planet home, the Jha’jurs are force-sensitive. Jha’jurs males have iridescent blue-green or green colored plumage. The peacock tail ("train") is not the tail quill feathers but the highly elongated upper tail covert feathers. The "eyes" are best seen when the peacock fans its tail. Like a cupped hand behind the ear, the erect tail-fan of the male helps direct sound to the ears. Both species have a crest atop the head. The female Jha’jurs has a mixture of dull green, brown, and grey in her plumage. She lacks the long upper tail coverts of the male but has a crest. The female can also display her plumage to ward off female competition or signal danger to her young. Jha’kurs is a small, force-sensitive predatory creature native to Faber. While considered cute and cuddly, the Jha’kurs could become agitated when restless. When restless, they would bite or claw the perpetrator. Jha’kurs has a long and slender body covered with brown, black, white, or mixed fur. It has a prehensile tail that is often held coiled; it acts as a third hand when it is climbing.

Ferns were a shrubbish tree native to man Faber. Lichens were small, adaptable fungi that grew symbiotically with algae, resulting in a composite organism that characteristically formed a crustlike or branching growth on surfaces such as rocks or tree trunks. Able to grow in almost any climate. Moss could cover virtually any surface, growing everywhere from city streets to walls, from rocks to trees, and from forests to spacecraft. While moss primarily grew in the wild, especially in humid air, it had a variety of uses. The Pine trees, as well as a variety of others, grow very tall and thick in Faber, which leads many to believe that there is something in the soil in Faber that makes the trees grow so big. The Faberian orchid, also known simply as a red orchid, was a species of plant from the Faberian system.

Government[]

Faberians have a Matriarchy Hereditary government, they were originally were a democratic government but had overthrown and executed their male ruler when the Sith had almost killed off their entire species.

Culture[]

The Faberians mentioned below are Marrika’s New Faberians while her mother’s Nyma’s were called the Old Faberians and the Old Faberians were just like the Hapans though they were more of a warrior race but only females were allowed to fight.

Though Faberian bounty hunters, assassins and smugglers were spread across the galaxy, their culture did have an isolationist streak. This isolationism also made Faber well-known as being a rebel world, rising up against every government or seeking independence from those governments.

The Faberians were spirited and dedicated people with physical excellence, tireless, and elite fighters. Their main weapon is an electro sword, but they were also great fighters in unarmed combat.

The Faberians have their own martial arts which consists more of acrobatic moves and techniques that involves the legs. Marrika Nerys was the one that introduced Teräs Käsi to the Faberians, though they did have their own martial arts.

As a warrior society, the Faberians trained daily in the art of war, and used both their muscles and the Force to aid them in combat. They were generally regarded as a naturally bright and shrewd people, they are also mistrusting of any outsiders because to them it equals pain and death.

Faberians have a deep sated fear of Sith, mostly likely what had happened during the Great Sith War and have a deep sated dislike of Jedi again probably due to what had happened to them during the war.

Faberians were driven by a strong sense of personal honor, tempered by their own individualities. They feared nothing aside from losing their freedom and had little concerns for individuals outside of their own families, only aiding others when bound by honor or seeking personal gain.

Faberians are all strong in the Force and had received the proper training to tap into that power, expect for Ne'tra Verd, Kestra Hett and Marrika Nerys who preferred blaster rifles over their Force power. They use Force sight when their regular vision is blinded, for example by bright light. Because of the Faberians continuous training with the Force, Faberians didn't have to concentrate like the Jedi or Sith on whatever they focusing on and they are able defend themselves at the same time. That was probably why many people are afraid of Faberians, because their control over the Force was both amazing and scary.

All Faberians can use force ability that they had called "Ghosting". It was when Faberians immediately use the force to hide their presence completely from other force-sensitives, though Jedi General Etain Tur-Mukan, had once told them that it felt like they "died" when using that ability hence why is was called "Ghosting".

Faberians can pick and choose who they 'force imprint', which means that Faberians can let any outsider force-sensitive be able to sense them by imprinting their force 'print' to theirs while any other force sensitive that is not imprinted can't sense a Faberian until the Faberian is standing in front of them.

The Faberian race was almost wiped out into extinction after the Great Sith War and had to do what they had thought was right in order to make sure they survived in the centuries that followed after the war. And that was leaving their system and finding men that met the requirement that they needed to breed strong Faberian babies, the reason why they had to this was because Faberian men were rare and if one was born he wouldn't live to reach adulthood. Luckily for them, the Faberian gene was always the dominate gene so the baby was always born a Faberian, this is where the term "Breeders" came to be. People had started to call Faberians "Force Breeders" because it was revealed that while the force can appear randomly in some species, in Faberians it's a part of their DNA and their offspring is always force-sensitive.

Despite what many people believe, Faberians are very loyal to the men that they consider their 'life mates' and when they lose a life mate, it's like losing a part of their very soul and heart. Though after losing a life mate some Faberians do 'remarry' but don't have that strong and close bond that they had with their first life mate. Faberians can become very territorial around their life mates or their future life mates but not to the extent that Faberians will stop their partners from doing anything, Faberians have great respect for personal space, freedom, independence and equality.

Despite their warlike society, Faberians are well-educated, artistic and cautious when dealing with outsiders. Outsiders had the general impression that the Faberians were very polite and highly civilized species. Their reputation meant that they were both respected and, in some cases, feared.

Faberians are also very loyal to their friends; as they are even willing to risk their life help them. Faberians were driven by a strong sense of honor, and have been known to have a dislike anyone who has insulted their honor. Also to be noted: Faberians may not be trusting to outsiders but if an outsider had proven to them to be very trusting than the Faberians will trust that person but if that person proves themselves to be in fact untrusting them the Faberians will no longer trust that person (for example, if the person lied to them about anything) and it extremely rare for Faberians to give any one that had broken their trust a second chance. And when Faberians do give a person a second chance it is to be treated as valuable and rare as it really is.

All Faberians considers the only honorable battles to be those that are fought one-on-one. Even the threat of death is not a reason to ignore this fact, as they believe that the winner is only to be determined when the other dies.

Faberians attack only when provoked or attacked first, many planets under Faberian rule were invaded by them because they had attacked the Faberians first and the Faberians had retaliated by invading and taking control of their planet and government. Sometimes Faberians take a sign of weapons activated and pointed towards them as an act of aggression when in fact it was only to scare them off but that shows just how dangerous and lethal Faberians are. Faberians don't take every kindly at being herded, in fact they will lash out when they feel like someone is trying to control them. Faberians also don't take too kindly to betrayal; in fact betrayal of any kind has led to many declarations of war against the betrayer and their home planet, but in Marrika's case she had lead the Sith invasion into her own home planet after her mother had exiled her over the throne during the Great Galactic War. And Faberians don't take kindly to any outsider sitting on the Empress Regnant's throne, as shown when the Faberians had killed the Empress Regnant that Emperor Palpatine had placed on the Faberian throne in order to control them and as a warning they had sent the false Empress Regnant's heart back to him. Faberians didn’t disapprove of illegals per se, but they did take poorly at being shot at.

In direct opposition to their infamy as a ruthless enemy, Faberians cherish family and shower affection upon those they love and care for. In Faberian society, marriage is expected to be life-long and usually takes place shortly after a Faberian turns sixteen-years-old. Family was held in high respect on Faber. It was considered most dishonorable to involve innocent family members in a quarrel held with one family member. Also if a Faber was to kill another family member or another Faber, they were to be immediately exiled until they were 'cleansed' as Faberians, though they don't believe in the 'dark' side and 'light' side of the Force, believe that killing ones family is like killing their Empress Regnant.

Faberians are also able to distinguish between the light and dark sides of the Force, in addition to the ability to detect its presence.

Some could say that Faberians have a sort of a Hive mind but with the Force and it had deadly and dangerous twist: they need stay in contact with each other otherwise they'll lose their sanity. And an insane Faberian is much more dangerous than a sane Faberian.

The title of Empress Regnant was hereditary, passed down from mother to daughter. The Empress Regnant had the final say on everything, and her word was considered law. There was always a female Faberian that acted as both the Senator and Ambassador of the Faberian Sector. The Royal Family are held in the highest of regards, though the Empress Regnant was held in the most highest of regards, and it's always the youngest daughter that becomes heir to the throne but that's only if there are four daughters, Tendra, Jira, Qatai and T'lana any other time there's only one child but that's really rare. When a Faberian woman is pregnant then a huge party is thrown, it doesn't matter to them if a Royal Family member or one of the other women is pregnant they will celebrate. Children are probably held in the same regard as the Royal Family; children to them are precious and innocent and are not allowed to leave the protection of the Faberian sector until they turn 13.

The Empress Regnant is always seen in the company of her handmaidens, bodyguards and Royal Guard. The only time that she is without that her companions is when she is in exile or hasn’t been born and raised on Faber, as is the case with Marrika Nerys, Ne'tra Verd and Kestra Hett. Both Ne'tra Verd and Kestra Hett were born on Mandalore but unlike Ne'tra Verd, Kestra actually had her mother's handmaidens raising her in the traditions of the Faberians as her uncle raised in the traditions of the Mandalorians. In Marrika's case she was exiled because her mother had become corrupted and has exiled her daughter in order to keep the throne but Marrika retaliated in true Faberian fashion and lead an Sith invasion into the Faberian Sector and had killed her mother in a dual between the two Empress Regnants.

The Dual of the Empress Regnants is a dual between the former Empress Regnant and the present Empress Regnant and it always leads to the death of one of them, and it's always the present Empress Regnant since she's younger than the former. The Dual of the Empress Regnants rarely ever happens and there's only been one dual in the Faberian history and that was between Empress Regnant Nanina and Empress Regnant Marrika Nerys, her daughter.

The Faberian Rite of Passage is to let Faberian teens go through the Dark Forest, the only place in Faber that is made engulfed by the Dark side of the force and if they come out unaffected then they become adults and wears the markings of the adults Faberians. The Rite of Passage used to be going out to kill Jedi hence the nickname for Faberians "Jedi Killers".

Great courage was seen as highly honorable to the Faberian, deserving of outward recognition through traditions such as a black ribbon tied around their neck.

Gender had no meaning for the Faberians; in fact both Faberian men and women were expected to fight. They started training at an early age so that they can defend themselves if their mother dies. Despite the fact that gender had no meaning for the Faberians, there can be no male ruler as the Faberians view men weak and easily deceived by outsider women that had caused many wars and had almost wiped the race to extinction.

As is Faberian custom, none of the Faberians know their birth fathers especially if the child's birth father is an outsider and is either another force-sensitive or a non-force-sensitive. Many people think this is because Faberians have a deep seated fear and suspicions of men that were not born on Faber, thanks to what had happened to them whenever they did have a male ruler.

One of the rarest Faberian traditions was the life debt. When a Faberians life was saved by someone else, even an outsider, they would frequently devote themselves to a lifetime of service to their savior and their family. But if that person that they owe that life debt to betrays and tries to kill them, Faberians will strike back and kill that person without any hesitation or remorse.

Faberians have taken to celebrating mainly the events of the life cycle such as birth, a coming of age, marriage, and death. Faberians were commonly buried in caves in a stone coffin, while the Empress Regnant was buried in the old Royal Palace. It was also Faberian custom to recite the names of loved ones and friends who have passed each night before sleep as a means of keeping their memory alive. The uncertainty of life meant that all Faberians celebrated the time they had at every opportunity, taking part in communal singing, drinking, and enjoying time with family.

Character traits[]

By nature the Faberians are an extremely matriarchal race. The males are always subservient to the females. The males are usually aren’t as warring as their females are. Unlike a female Faberian, the males only attack when ordered or threatened. The females have a fiery, short temper while the males are calm, cool, and collected. Both genders are strong willed, sarcastically funny and stubborn. The Empress Regnant is always a compassionate ruler, always considering other people before herself, and she stood firm in what she believed in. She was also a persuasive and extremely empathetic speaker. She is regal and austere; she is also calm, cool, and collected.

Economy[]

Faber was vastly wealthy, with beautifully made furniture fetching high prices. The furniture was made out of wood since Faber is completely covered by dense forests.
